Play and learn

Ballyland was created to enable children to freely and safely play on the computer, by way of the keyboard. In Any Key Goes, every key produces a sound, a song or a story. The sounds are all familiar, such as sounds from in and around the house, animal sounds, musical instruments and human sounds.

This video demonstrates how Ballyland’s Inclusive design helps children with vision impairment and general learning disabilities to interact more effectively with the computer.

The keyboard can be manipulated by the child without any unwanted results. In Any Key Goes, young Eileanoir has a particular preference for the sneezing sound. With obvious pleasure she reproduces this sound several times, finding the correct key with great ease.
